The Union of Journalists of South Sudan or UJOSS Executive Committee has resolved to create Gender and Legal Desks to handle relevant matters.
The Desks will strengthen state branch offices, says Oliver Modi Philip, Chairman of UJOSS in a statement.
He appeals to state branch offices to supervise activities of the media to improve their performance.
Modi urges state offices to coordinate with the headquarters to support communication and monitoring journalists’ performance.
He calls on journalists to register with the Union for their safety, security, protection and welfare.
