Monsignor asks warring parties to lay down guns

You who carry guns should drop them down and seek peaceful means of resolving conflict, Apostolic Administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Torit asked warring parties.
 
Monsignor Thomas Oliha Atia says the salvation is drawing closer with the coming of Jesus Christ who will save and redeem all mankind, Radio Emmanuel reported.
 
He appeals to the people to have faith in God because He will bring every burden to an end.
 
The Apostolic Administrator asked for peaceful coexistence among South Sudanese.
 
He made the statement while reflecting on the first Sunday of Advent in Torit.
