Udici Commissioner bans carrying guns in public places

The commissioner for Udici County James Akuar Agau issued a local order banning random movement of civilians with guns in public gatherings and the town.
 
James Akuar Agau said the prevalent of many guns in the hands of civilians is causing insecurity in the county, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
He added that about three people lost their lives in the last two weeks trying to operate guns.
 
Agau argued all citizens to cooperate with the local order for the safety of the people in the county.
 
He said authorities will clear out all violators to improve the security situation in the county shall.
 
The commissioner called for joint work to protect the children living in bushes as the country is going through difficult situation.
 
The local order was made after some SPLA soldiers of Division Five allegedly sold guns to civilians in Getti Payam.
 
Radio Voice of Hope could not confirm the report with SPLA commanders on the ground.
