South Sudan Red Cross and International Committee of the Red Cross are organizing a national first aid competition on Friday in Juba under the theme: ‘First aid saves lives’.
Red Cross in a note CRN got, says the competition will enable it to evaluate the preparedness and response ability of its teams.
It says the contest is expected to bring together emergency action teams from all the ten branches in the country.
The best team will be awarded a trophy as first aid is the great part of South Sudan Red Cross preparedness programs, the agency adds.
A number of national and state governments’ dignitaries are expected to attend the event.
