Bishop of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, EPC in Yei says some religious leaders are becoming more corrupt and politically based in South Sudan.
 
Bishop Elias Taban says some religious leaders are not performing their duty of evangelization, Radio Easter reports.
 
He was speaking to government, church and local leaders during a swearing in ceremony at Yei River State Secretariat on Friday.
 
Bishop Taban vows to serve South Sudanese through the church.
 
He rejects any appointment by either President Salva Kiir or any leader to hold a government position in the country.
 
The bishop advises leaders of all sorts to always stand with their people amidst challenges.
