The International Organization for Migration, IOM is appealing to the general public to take serious precautions in paying attention to health and hygiene habits to avoid infections like cholera.
The agency warns that a person can still get cholera even if he or she has had it before.
IOM says over three thousand cholera cases including 44 deaths were reported in South Sudan in nine states.
IOM conducted an oral cholera vaccination campaign in Gumbo and Mangaten areas in September this year where over 24 thousand people were vaccinated.
