Rumbek Diocesan Coordinator declares start of the annual youth congress between December fourteenth and nineteenth under the theme: ‘Be Merciful like your heavenly Father is merciful’.
Monsignor John Mathiang Machol says all the youth from 14 parishes of the Diocese will attend the seventh assembly, Radio Good News reports.
He says the diocese is already preparing to contact parish priests to send their teams of youth to represent parishes.
Monsignor Mathiang says the Diocese is expecting between 800 and 1,200 young people in the congress.
He calls on the faithful to pray for youth meeting in the diocese in Rumbek.
The Diocese of Rumbek plans to officially close the Jubilee Year of Mercy together with the youth congress.
