The Association for Media Development in South Sudan or AMDISS has condemned the sudden closure of Eye Radio by the National security in Juba.
On Friday, security personnel ordered the radio to be shut down without giving any reason.
The act of closing media houses by security people is unacceptable and a violation of the media laws and the press, says AMDISS in a statement.
It calls for immediately and unconditional reopening of the radio and use of dialogue to amicably resolve any issue that might have let to the closure.
AMDISS also calls on the security to leave media issues to the Media Authority to handle.
