The national Council of Ministers has postponed the implementation of 154 million US Dollars project to upgrade power station in Juba as proposed by Minister of Energy.
Government Spokesperson, Michael Makuei Lueth says the cabinet has directed the Minister of Energy, Dr Dhieu Mathok to improve the current power station in Juba until appropriate time for reasonable upgrading, Radio Bakhita reports.
The official says the improvement of the current power station in Juba is divided into three phases including rehabilitation.
The cabinet applauded the 154 million US Dollars power station upgrading project proposal by Dr Mathok, but adjourned its implementation, the official says.
Dr Mathok also presented a report on recent participation of South Sudan in Power Convention in East Africa to the cabinet on Friday, Spokesperson Makuei says.
