The church leaders in Yei urge the national government to compromise in order to restore peace in South Sudan.
Church leaders are ready to mediate dialogue if the government guarantees lives, Yei Bishop Hilary Luate of the Episcopal Church told UNMISS team on Wednesday, Radio Easter reports.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe says that let the government compromise for the sake of the suffering of the people of South Sudan for peace to prevail.
The UN team on the prevention of genocide including Adama Dieng, Undersecretary And Special Advisor of the Secretary-General on Prevention of Genocide and Taryn Lesser, Political Officer on Genocide Prevention also met the church leaders after the UNMISS team concluded.
