Commercial motorcycle riders commonly known as Boda-Boda say they will reduce travel charges in Mangaten area once the road connecting Bilpam and Suk Melisia is constructed.

International Organization for Migration, IOM is constructing the road that connects the area, Radio Bakhita reports.

John Pitia, one of the commercial motorists says they are currently charging high prices due to poor roads.

He says bad roads force them to use long better routes to reach Suk Melisia or Mia Saba areas.

Pita says the travel charges may fall from 30 South Sudanese Pounds per passenger to ten pounds once the road is repaired.

Some residents of Mangaten area say every time it rains, the road is flooded; forcing them to undress.

They welcome the move to construct the road, saying it will change their miserable experiences during rainy seasons.

Early this week, the International Organization for Migration in collaboration with Jubek State Ministry of Physical Infrastructure started road construction in Mangaten area.
