The Deputy Executive Director of Tonj County on Thursday urged the cattle keepers not to cross to Western Bahr el Ghazal farm lands because their crops are still not harvested.

Jiel Liai Kool orders those who have already gone to the area to move out as soon as possible to avoid colliding with farmers of Jur, Radio Don Bosco reports.

He argues that there is no reason for the cattle keepers to migrate to a far area while there is enough water and pasture in the county.

Liai threatens to fine violators to pay with two thousand South Sudanese Pounds.

He adds the initiative is to maintain peace and security with neighboring counties.

The Minister of Local Government two months ago, ordered cattle keepers in all counties to remain in their various areas until authorities tell them to move.

Last year in Western Bahr el Ghazal, a farmer gunned down a cattle keeper after his cows destroyed all the crops in the farm.
