Communities of Majak and Thiik Payams of Malou-Pec County on Wednesday expressed readiness to maintain peace with the neighboring communities.
Executive Chief Manyang Majak expressed readiness to work for peace for displaced people go back and resume their normal life, Radio Don Bosco reported.
The chiefs from both areas encouraged the young people to listen to the voices of elders and resolve misunderstandings through dialogues.
When there is peace we shall be able to cultivate and use our fertile land to fight hunger, he added.
The chiefs appealed to the government to deploy community police so that people can live in peace.
