17 suspects linked to Terrain Hotel atrocities under detention, says probe team

Seventeen suspects were detained following investigation of the Terrain Hotel incident which involved killing, rape, torture and looting.

Martison Oturomoi, the chairperson of the investigation committee told journalists on Wednesday that 17 suspects have been detained.
 
Oturomoi, also the Deputy Minister of Justice, says the suspects are waiting for court hearing.
 
He says the probe committee has submitted the report to President Salva Kiir for consideration to establish a special court for the crimes committed.
 
A journalist was killed and foreign aid workers raped at Terrain Hotel in July this year when armed men in military uniform invaded the compound.
