The Head of Cholera Treatment Centre in Juba Teaching Hospital says most of the cholera cases are recorded in Gurei Residential Area.
Dr Abraham Adut tells Bakhita Radio that most of the victims are below ten years of age with a few above ten.
He attributes the spread of the disease to poor hygiene and dirty water in the area.
UNICEF earlier said a total of 2,539 cholera cases had been reported with 38 deaths as of October 20 this year.
UNICEF says the outbreak had stretched to Nimule, Awerial and Bentiu Protection of Civilians’ sites.
