Deputy Governor of Wau State has criticized United Nations for what he terms poor distribution of food items to Africans in comparison to other races.

Pasquale Joseph Ayan says UN agencies deliver services of low value to Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs and refugees in Africa compared to the Middle East, Radio Voice of Hope reports.

He adds that Africans are given sorghum which is used for feeding donkeys in other continents.

The Deputy Governor believes donors give huge money to UN agencies, but beneficiaries just receive sorghum and plastic shelters.

He also accuses UN agencies for using IDPs as source of raising income.

The Deputy Governor says the security situation in Wau town has improved, calling on IDPs to go home to resume their normal cultivation.

Violence erupted in Wau town in June forcing more than one hundred thousand people to take refuge in UN camp, church and Red Cross centres.

Radio Voice of Hope could reach recent UN agencies for comment on the Deputy Governor’s statement.
