Yei State Hospital advises persons living with HIV and those without to prevent themselves from spreading the virus further.
More than 3,000 people are living with the virus in Yei according to health reports.
The Acting Director of Yei State Hospital, Dr John Wani made the call on prevention of the virus during one-day awareness workshop in Yei.
He says the virus is high in Yei, warning that it hits hard in developing countries like South Sudan.
Dr Wani advises the public to take into action prevention measures like abstinence from sex, being faithful to partners and using condoms.
The Acting Director asks pregnant mothers with positive living to deliver at medical facilities to reduce possibilities of virus transmission.
Dr Wani says persons with positive living are given counselling and drugs to live healthy and long lives.
