Tombura County residents flee to Central African Republic

Hundreds of residents of Source Yubu Payam in Tombura County are fleeing to Central African Republic due to deteriorating economic and security in South Sudan.
 
Moses Raphael, Ave Maria Ngboko Catholic Parish Information Officer talked to some South Sudanese refugees in Bambuti town in Central African Republic, Radio Anisa reports.
 
The refugees say they will return home as soon as peace is attained in the country.
 
Raphael says most of the South Sudanese refugees are in Bambuti and Obo towns of the Central African Republic.
 
The population of South Sudanese refugees pouring to neighbouring countries continue to increase on daily basis, UN agencies say.
 
Tombura County Commissioner, Gbamisi Charles Babiro confirms that people are leaving following the previous cases of insecurity in Source Yubu Payam between army and the citizens.
 
The commissioner says citizens are asking for the replacement of government forces in the area as they have lost trust in them.
