Citizens of Rumbek are complaining of the increment of airtime charges to 3.15 South Sudanese Pounds by telecommunication network operators in the country.
Dolbai Maguen, a student of Rumbek University, tells Radio Good News that he is not happy with the increment of MTN tariffs because it has affected people economically.
Maguen appeals to the government to cooperate on reduction of the tariffs of networks.
He warns that some citizens may put off their mobile phones if it continues.
Becky Minala says she could not afford to talk to all her beloved ones in other part of the country because of network new charges.
MTN Operating Company has increased its rates to 3.15 SSP per minute with the same network.
Charges for other networks are 3.85 per minute and international calls cost seven pounds.
Radio Good News could not reach mobile operating companies for comment.
