Community of Kumbur Payam of Hieban County in Nuba Mountains gathered to bid farewell to Primary Eight candidates preparing to sit for this year exams at Teachers’ Training College.
Fr Deogratius Minja advised the pupils to be thankful of all the good things that they had because God answers people through their prayers, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
Headmaster, Ajar Ali, earlier welcomed parents and the guests to attend the farewell.
Education Supervisor Khalid Karaka advised the candidates to be strong and not to have exams fever.
He advised people to pray for peace so that life improves and the difficult living conditions in the region change.
The supervisor noted that in schools learners lack books, pens even shoes which he described as a serious crisis.
