Youth Initiative Against Poverty temporarily employed about 20 young people in a farm ploughed by Imotong Youth Union this year at Himodonge, about three kilometres on Torit-Ketire road.

Stephen Loki, Imotong State Youth Chairperson, says the Initiative aims at fighting hunger, reducing unemployment and empowering young people countrywide to be self-reliance, Radio Emmanuel reports.

He adds that the four-hector farm products are ready to be supplied in Torit market for residents to buy at cheaper prices.

Loki adds that the project is looking for more machinery so that it can increase the production in the near future.

Youth Network Against Poverty was introduced in 2014 with an aim of empowering young people and creating jobs for them.
