Paramount chiefs are calling for an end to looting in Yei especially in areas where insecurity has captured.
Displaced civilians and churches have reported several looting of their properties in a whn insecurity heightened, Radio Easter reported.
Chief Dennis Daramallo Fundi of Juba warned those looting belongings of innocent people that their lives and families would be affected in the future.
He asked those who have taken some people’s property to return immediately.
Meanwhile, Yei River County Paramount Chief, Peter Saeed Morjan, expressed unhappiness over the suffering of those displaced from their residents.
He urged the government to improve security for the civilians to return to their areas.
The Paramount chiefs spoke during a public rally in Yei early this week.
