Yei River State Governor advises South Sudanese residing in Yei to stop leaving the town at the moment following a road ambush along Yei-Juba road.

David Lokonga Moses describes fleeing of residents resulting from ongoing insecurity in Yei ‘a political plan’ of anti-peace elements to spoil the new state, Radio Easter reports.

He says citizens should stop leaving to neighbouring countries or towns for safety to prevent such loss of lives.

Lokonga deems the recent Yei-Juba road ambush attack on passengers ‘sad news’ to the state and the national governments.

Governor Lokonga asks those who took up arms against the government to take peaceful mean to achieve their grievances.
