The Women Association in Yei River State warns that continuous reduction in health service delivery will result to more unexpected deaths during births.
Hawa Adams, a member of the association, says many pregnant mothers choose to deliver at home due to lack of drugs and very few health workers, Radio Easter reports.
She appeals to the government and partners to urgently respond to the dire situation.
State Governor David Lokonga Moses told a UN delegation team late September that health facilities in rural areas were not functional due to lack of supplies and fleeing of health workers.
Yei River State has been facing growing insecurity as a result of clashes between government forces and armed groups.
