The Catholic Diocese of Torit is on Saturday hosting a peace dialogue under the theme: ‘Peace has no alternative’.
The forum marking the feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, is a platform where people from different religions, tribes, race will come together to discuss peace in South Sudan, Radio Emmanuel reports.
It is time to dialogue and find a way forward to end the conflict that brings more suffering to the people, says Parish Priest of Our Lady of Holy Rosary Noel Ogwagu.
He says the Church has a mandate to preach peace for everyone.
Fr Ogwagu says everyone has a role to play in peace building, but that it wants a practical harmony which benefits every family.
Apostolic Administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Torit, Monsignor Thomas Oliha, Imotong State Governor Nartisio Loluke Manir, women and youth are expected to attend the conference next Saturday.
