The Catholic Bishop of Tombura/Yambio called on the leaders of South Sudan to works together to bring lasting peace to the country.
Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala in his letter told the leadership to work jointly with sincerity and courage to bring the people of South Sudan the sustainable peace and security they deserve.
He appealed to the international community to continue playing its key role to take President Salva Kiir and Dr Riek Machar to the negotiating table.
The Bishop said the constant unrest hinders the delivery of ‘much-needed aid’ to the suffering people.
He said South Sudanese badly need NGOs’ humanitarian support to continue.
