Humanitarian assistance for South Sudanese people should be balanced to avoid dependence on aid every year, says UNDP Acting Country Director.
Jean Luc says people have to be given something to build up their livelihood so that they are self-reliant.
The Acting Country Director calls on development partners to address peace building aspects, security and reconciliation together because they are interconnected.
UNDP is much involved in recovering stabilization to build the system and to help people to restart their normal lives, says Luc.
He adds that UNDP is discussing with the national and state governments and communities to start some projects to help people return to normal life.
The Acting Country Director of UNDP was addressing the press in Juba on Thursday.
