The Bishop of the Episcopal Church of Sudan and South Sudan is advising citizens to avoid sending their children to refugee camps without accompanying them.

Bishop Hillary Luate Adeba describes it as dangerous step because possibilities of child trafficking would occur, Radio Easter reports.

He says parents must take the responsibility of taking their children to neighbouring countries if they opt to.

Bishop Luate urges parents to allow their children to go to school and stop fearing the current situation.

He hopes the condition in the country will stop.

The Bishop appeals to South Sudanese to remain prayerful for peace to prevail.
