A man killed his wife and burned her into ashes on Saturday in Mboroko Payam of Maridi State, confirmed Press secretary, in the office of the Governor.
Kindoson Kindo said the 38-year-old Mariam William Sali, a mother of six children was murdered at night in Maribana area in Maridi County by her husband, Radio Anisa reported.
Martin Forunze, a relative of the decease, said he got the sad news and wonders what prompted the killing of his sister.
Anisa Radio could not reach the security personnel in Maridi County for comment.
