Unknown gunmen on Wednesday night attacked the house of a Member of Parliament at Nagori residential area in Yambio, Gbudwe State.
MP Joseph Alfred Tindiri, Chairperson of Public Services and Health Committee at the Assembly, says on Tuesday night armed robbers rounded up his home and exploded a hand grenade at his compound, Radio Anisa reported.
He confirmed that random gunshots were fired at his house for about fifteen minutes, but no casualties.
The MP added that for the past three days people were seeing armed men at night standing at his gate ordering people at gunpoint to leave the area without his notice.
Tindiri says recently similar people broke into a house of one of the businesswomen and looted sixty thousands South Sudanese Pounds and fire bullets on air.
For a month now there was no report of military confrontation in Gbudue State, but random shooting and unnecessary killings are on rise.
Many citizens who spoke to Radio Anisa are panicking and call on the government to immediately respond and rescue innocent civilians from dying at no cause.
