Kalkuel Block Council on Monday appointed youth chairperson and his deputy to lead people under the supervision of Tonj Municipality.
Youth chairperson Mou Mareech Benjamin urges the council members and Tonj state to work jointly to bring stability and lasting peace, Radio Don Bosco reported.
He appeals to the state government to resolve the issue of street children loitering in the town.
Deputy Chairperson Santino Malic Maluil requests the state government to tell aid agencies to provide food, shelter, water and health services to the internally displaced persons.
He promised to cooperate with the entire communities of Tonj Municipal Council to overcome challenges facing people in Maktaffok, Warkar and Kuanyja Blocks.
