The Council of Ministers in Western Lakes has passed 2016/2017 action plan for the Ministry of Education to address the challenges facing learning in the state.
Minister of Education Mabor Meen-Manyinga told Radio Good News that many teachers went to different institutions due to low salaries.
He said the new action plan resolved to increase teachers’ wages in 2017.
Minister Meen appealed to the people to prioritize education of their children to develop Western Lakes State and South Sudan.
Western Lakes State Governor Abraham Makoi Bol Kodi chaired the meeting of the Council of Ministers where the new action plans was passed.
