UN Diplomats meet with IDPs in Wau

United Nations Security Council delegate has visited Wau town on Sunday and met with IDPs.
 
Samantha Power, US ambassador to UN, says the visit aims at improving the protection civilians in South Sudan, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
She noted that many IDPs at the UN camp in Wau narrated stories of atrocities against civilians during the violence in the state.
 
Ambassador Power assures IDPs in Wau that they will meet President Kiir to urge him to make the perpetrators accountable in court of justices.
 
The delegate met with the representative of IDPs in UN Protection of civilians site in Wau and St Mary Cathedral.
 
IDPs submitted to the delegation written documents demanding urgent implementation of August 2015 Peace deal.
