Yei Municipality was dissolved due to lack of grants and poor delivery of services to the citizens, says the State Governor.
David Lokonga Moses says the municipality was not receiving grants from the national government to finance its activities of delivering services, Radio Easter reported.
The Governor pledged that the state government will work hard to get rid of corruption.
The newly sworn in Yei Town Clerk, Azariah Khamis Noah, promises to cooperate and consult with the higher leadership for the development of the council.
The Governor decreed the dissolution of the municipality last month and established Town Council under Yei River County.
