Yei River State has enough resources to sustain its thirteen counties, says the government spokesperson.

Stephen Lado Onesimo says the commissioners will use the wealth available to generate revenues for their development, Radio Easter reports.

He says the creation of counties was the demand of the citizens amidst crisis and hopes they will be centres of peace and unity.

The spokesperson points out that the counties have the human resource, fertile land with reliable rainfall to increase agriculture productivity and other resources.

Lado says state authorities will launch a program on governance and support on the establishment process of the new counties in due course.

The government spokesperson was speaking to Radio Easter on Thursday.
