The Catholic Bishop of Yei calls on leaders in South Sudan to serve the citizens with humility and truthfulness without neglecting others.

Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe advises the leaders to imitate the humble example of service left by Jesus who showed equal love for the rich, the poor and even the vulnerable group, Radio Easter reported.

He says the current suffering in the nation is a temptation that each citizen need to stand strong to do what is good.

The Catholic prelate says every leader should accept short comings in service and immediately correct them.

He says citizens who suffered the conflict were forced to take refuge in the neighbouring countries.

The Bishop was preaching at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday.
