Joint Afrique Limited a Ghanaian-based company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Imotong State government to launch a 150 million US Dollar project including asphalting roads in Torit town.
The scheme expected to kick off before December, will tarmac 72 kilometres roads within the urban centre and the state airstrip, Radio Emmanuel reports.
Harold Ntorinkansah, Company’s Executive Officer, says they will invest in rice production and the reconstruction of most infrastructures within Imotong State.
Ntorinkansah says the project will begin with the rice production by October to be followed by tarmac on all roads within the town.
Nartisio Loluke Manir, Governor of Imotong says African Investors can turn the history of the state by making its citizens proud.
Loluke says the investors are also going to build a hydro- electric power at Kineite River to torch the town.
The Company will also build boarding schools especially for girls to promote girl child education in Imotong State.
In the memo, the project will build up recreational homes for the youth, like theatres, stadia, shopping malls and many others.
