The Catholic Bishop of Yei condemns the ongoing crimes in the state including the brutal killing of civilians in the town last week.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe statements followed last week’s slaughter of three members of the same family their bodies were thrown into Yei River, Radio Easter reports.
One of the family members is still missing according to authorities.
Bishop Lodu describes such beheading incidents ‘heinous actions and unspeakable crimes’.
Bishop Lodu says taking away human life is a sin and perpetrators will account to it in front of God on the last day.
The Catholic prelate says such incidents are fuelling fleeing of citizens for refuge in the neighbouring countries.
He calls on soldiers and armed men to respect the lives of civilians and their property.
The Bishop was speaking at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday.
