The Institute for Promotion of Civil Society (IPCS), an indigenous NGO working with civil society organizations in Central and Western Equatoria, announced plans to extend its operations to Upper Nile and Bahr el Ghazal States.
IPCS Chairman of the Board of Directors, Redento Tombe, made the announcement to officials and guests attending a graduation ceremony of fifteen Resource Persons who completed a ten-month organization development course in Yei, SCR News correspondent reported.Mr. Tombe said IPCS received continued appeals by both government and development partners to extend services to other states of Southern Sudan but the organization was limited by resources.
However, he added that IPCS would strive to start operations in Upper Nile and Bahr el Ghazal states by next year.
Mr. Tombe said some staff members were already sent to conduct capacity building activities in the proposed areas.
