Yei River is facing worsening fuel shortage and affects Boda-boda riders’ struggle to sustain businesses and livelihood.

Peter Mose, a rider says the scarcity is already forcing their business to collapse, Radio Easter reports.

Another rider, Robert Lovric says they are buying fuel in the black market at the cost of 150 Pounds per a litre.

He also says as many residents fled, they are experiencing a drop in their business because many customers have left.

Prices of fuel in the black market are also increasing rapidly.

A black market fuel trader says his business is badly affected because he does not have another work to do.

He says fuel prices are high due to the rising prices of food commodities in the market.

The riders urge the government to improve security so that enough fuel is supplied into the country for smooth running of their business along the roads.
