Western Lakes State Governor on Sunday said road rehabilitation linking Equatoria to Bahr Al Ghazal regions is progressing well.
Abraham Makoi Bol said the teams maintaining the roads are filling all potholes to ease movement of vehicles between Juba and Rumbek, Radio Good News reports.
He said rehabilitation of the roads linking the states is to ease movement of people and goods.
Eastern Lakes State Information Minister Nelson Makoi in a phone interview said the teams promised earlier that the road will open within one week.
Inaccessible roads hinder the delivery of basic goods and services to the people of Equatoria, upper Nile and Greater Bahr El Ghazal regions.
