UN Refugee Agency says Uganda and Sudan have received an estimated over one hundred new refugees in 2016 respectively.
In a statement from Kampala, the Agency says most of those fleeing to Sudan arrived in the first six months of the year from Bahr al Ghazal states, Radio Bakhita reports.
In the case of Uganda, three quarters of the refugee have been since the outbreak of conflict in July, when the arrival rate reached more than eight thousand in one day.
The Agency adds that 90 percent of the new arrivals are women and children, mostly from Juba and other parts of Central Equatoria.
UNHCR notes that heavy rains are hampering relief efforts, slowing relocation efforts and require immediate road repairs.
It says there are fears that in the event of disease outbreak, existing capacities and inadequate resources to respond effectively.
The agency calls for urgent funds to speed the relocation of more than 45 thousand refugees out of congested reception and transit centres.
Last week Government of Uganda has moved four thousand refugees from Adjumani to Yumbe District.
