Tonj State authorities banned traders from taking newly harvested food to other states, announced the Minister of Finance and Public Service.
Machok Deng Arol said the Governor directed organized forces to stop traders from taking food to sell in other states, Radio Don Bosco reports.
Tonj State government spokesperson Madit Malek Akuein said authorities expressed concerns on the prices increase in the market.
He added that the governor ordered opening of all closed shops and banning all road blocks.
The coordination meeting held on Thursday attracted business men, youth, women group and all government sectors.
