Health officials in Yei say they are now receiving few pregnant mothers for antenatal care because many of them escaped to rural areas fearing rising cases of insecurity.

Annet Mamvoyo, a midwife in EPC clinic says the health facility saved another expectant mother after successful operation, Radio Easter reports.

Mamvoyo advises pregnant women to give birth at health facilities to avoid some complications which could not be handled by traditional birth attendants.

Meanwhile, Rachel Apach, a vaccinator at EPC clinic, warns parents that giving birth outside health centres would deprive them from immediately vaccines.

Ms Apach calls on mothers to deliver at the health centres to get all maternal care services.
