The Legislative Assembly of Tonj State on Wednesday opened its second session after the establishment of the government in February 2016.
Assembly Speaker Malook Lual, mentions formation of some institutions as some of the achievements in Tonj, Radio Don Bosco reports.
He says another success is disarmament of civilians holding guns throughout the state for communities to enjoy peace.
Speaker Lual promises that the legislators will continue to support the executive members to achieve stability.
He says the Assembly laid some strategic plans including peace initiatives and development activities.
Peaceful resolution of the conflicts among communities and strengthening of the state economy through agriculture are some of the plans put down pending implementation.
