SPLA says fourteen of its soldiers were arrested for their allegedly involvement in criminal activities during the conflict in Juba early this month.
SPLA Spokesperson Brigadier Lul Ruai Koang told journalists on Wednesday that the detained soldiers were accused of looting, murder and other forms of human rights abuses, Radio Bakhita reports.
Brigadier Koang said the move aims at rooting out misconduct within the forces to restore trust between the army and the civil population.
The Spokesperson said two SPLA soldiers convicted of murder in Wau have been executed by firing.
