Women continue to pray for lasting peace in South Sudan

Women of South Sudan on Wednesday organized a one-day prayer for lasting peace in the country.
 
Coordinator of civil society group, Betty Sunday, said the prayer aims at bringing people together to ask God to grant peace in South Sudan, Radio Bakhita reported.
 
She added that women are calling upon the government to look into their cry.
 
Moses Telar Cindul, Director of Religious Affairs in the Office of the President described the day as the beginning of coming together for peace not only in South Sudan, but the whole Africa and the world.
 
He noted that peace will come through dialogue but not guns.
 
Women Desk of South Sudan Council of Churches organize monthly prayers in Juba going from one Church to another, asking God to give lasting peace in the country.
