Nearly two weeks of insecurity and fear have affected most of the farmers in Yei River, says County Assistant Commissioner of Agriculture.
Edmond Taban Gogo says many farmers fled as a result of the recent uncertainties and supply of food to the urban areas has been a challenge, Radio Easter reports.
However, he says food supply resumed after relative calm returned to the town.
Gogo appeals to the farmers to be courageous and restart cultivation.
The Assistant Commissioner of Agriculture says farmers should use the prepared lands properly by planting crops for the second season for a good harvest.
He says they are gearing to raise about 600 thousand coffee seedlings for next year’s planting.
Gogo was speaking to Radio Easter on Monday.
