Yei River State Legislative Assembly Speaker strongly condemns the recent killing of four civilians and arbitrary arrest in the town.
 
Naphtali Hassan Gale expresses legislators’ ‘profound concern and sadness’ about the recent terrifying trends of insecurity in the state, Radio Easter reports.
 
The comments followed the killing of four civilians in the town last week and uncontrolled movement of arms in the town,.
 
The Speaker adds that the barbaric incidents exposed citizens to suffering after fleeing for safety due to ‘fear, uncertainties and loss of hope’.
 
Hassan calls on the security organs to stop arbitrary arrests, but implement the rule of law and ceasefire declared.
 
He appeals to the citizens to remain calm, stop fleeing, but do their normal activities as state authorities try their best to address the situation, he adds.
 
The Speaker was talking to Journalists in the State Legislative Assembly on Friday.
