South Sudan Inspector General of Police is in Rumbek on Friday to graduate one thousand five hundred recruits in Lakes State.

First Lieutenant General Makur Marol Aduot says his visit to Rumbek was to pass out police force that spent nearly two years in the training, Radio Good News reports.

He adds that the new police force will support the existing one to maintain law and order in the region.

The Inspector General describes revenge killing and cattle rustling as major setbacks to the communities of Lakes.

He calls on intellectuals and elders of the area to talk to the youth to discourage revenge killings and cattle raiding.

The new IGP was appointed by President Salva Kiir early this year to administer South Sudan Police Services.
